Some information from Pension application file of Lazarus Rand,
Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty Land Warrant Application
Files, 1800-1900, series M804, roll 1997. Lazarus appears on a
muster roll of Captain Abraham Tyler's Company, Colonel Edmund
Phinney's Regiment, dated at Fort George Dec. 8 1776, Lazarus
enlisted Feb. 28, 1776 as a private. He also appears as a
private on a pay roll of Captain Alexander McLellan's Company,
Colonel Jonathan Mitchell's Regiment for service on the
expedition to Penobscot, from July 7 to Sept. 25, 1779.

Lazarus Rand and David Rand settled in Woodstock about 1804; p.
19. They also appear on the first tax list for the town in
1812; History of Woodstock, p. 30.
Elected one of the surveyors of roads at first Woodstock town
meeting on March 20, 1815; p. 34.
Was in the second eastern school district at the first division
of the town into districts in 1814. Two years later redistricted
into the 5th district; p. 104.
David and Betsey Rand were loaned a lot of land by the town of
Woodstock for $1 per year; p. 50.

Death from: Woodstock, ME, Town and Vital Records (1814-1908),
LDS Film 0864977, item 1, p. 80.
Revolutionary War pension application file says he died in
Minot, ME.

A Lazarus Rand appears on the 1790 US Census, Maine, Cumberland
Co., Falmouth Town. His household consists of: 1 male over 16, 3
males under 16, and 4 females.

A Lazarus Rand appears on the 1800 U.S. census, series M32, roll
6, ME, Cumberland Co., Poland, p. 207. Household consists of: 1
male 10-16, 1 male 16-26, 1 male 45 & over, 3 females under 10,
2 females 10-16, 1 female 16-26, 1 female 45 & over.
