Obituary Extracts From "The Clark County Press", Neillsville, WI

I'm working at extracting genealogical information from obituaries printed in the Clark County Press. At the moment, I'm using the paper copies that I have on hand. At some point in the future I'd like to extract info from earlier years.

I give no guarantee as to the accuracy of this information. There are probably mistakes by both myself and the person who prepared the obituary. In addition, each obituary contains much more information than what I have abstracted. If you want a photocopy of any of the obituaries on these pages, send me a self-addressed stamped envelope (email for my mailing address). I am willing to pay for the photocopy but can't afford to pay postage for everyone. I am NOT volunteering to look up obituaries other than for people whose obituaries are extracted and indexed on these web pages.

The Clark County Press has a somewhat complicated history. However, it has existed in one form or another since 1867. You can subscribe to the paper by writing to: The Clark County Press, P.O. Box 149, Neillsville, WI 54456.

Older issues of the Clark County Press are available on microfilm at the Neillsville Public Library. Microfilms can also be ordered through inter-library loan from the Wisconsin State Historical Society in Madison, ask your local librarian how order them.
